Hi, how are you? Friends! Some of you might be aware I'm on a backpacking trip across Europe. And if you've asked me for pictures, you should realize by now I'm terrible with sharing pictures of my travels! If we've never been formally acquainted, I should let you know in currently on a backpacking trip across Europe - and I'm still terrible with sharing pictures of my travels! I do take a lot of photographs, but I'm generally consciously aware of the distinction between a holiday snap and a serious photograph. One is just for my memory, the other is one I find especially compelling, or makes me question my knowledge and artistic... Touch? I'm going to try to blur the distinction, and cross the line for the next few weeks, as I do have a lot of photographs I want to share. For Owen’s science, we’ve been studying insects. 🐜 🐞 🦗 🐛 . . . . There’ve been lots of bug hunts and observing insects outside. . . . . In becoming a homeschooling family, I’ve had to get out of my comfort zone in order to encourage learning. I’m a little skittish when it comes to bugs and creepy crawly things, and I want to overcome my own fears so that my kids can see the good in all created things. . . . I’m learning too, and I hope and pray that I remember to practice humility as we study alongside one other. This photo of Istanbul makes it look like it's from a fairytale. This city is so beautiful, and that is no credit to my photography, you really can't take a bad photo of this city. Made it to Singapore and am halfway through my journey home. Turkey was a great end to a wonderful trip. It was great to see family and make wonderful memories. For now, it will be great to stay put for a while and get into the groove of my new life.
