I actually enjoy going for groceries now.⠀

I used to hate it because I never knew what was healthy. I would see a the words “organic, fat free, zero sugar” etc., and truly believe it was a healthy option. I always preferred buying in bulk and always packaged items. 🤦🏾‍♀️ ⠀

Until I actually got home to research the items only to find out it was just as bad as the regular junk I would usually eat... my money was going down the drain! ⠀

While it may be overwhelming, here is something that helps me not only make the right choices BUT saves me money 💰 BIG TIME! ⠀
⠀
1. Make a list of the meals you’ll be having. Determine how many meals you can actually consume... 3? 4? 5? 6? For me personally I ate 6 for the last 7 years, last month I switched to 5 because of my schedule.⠀
⠀
2. Depending on the frequency, anything above 3 includes snacks so write out the meals... breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks if you are frequently hungry. Ex. Oatmeal and strawberries for breakfast, pasta and protein for lunch and salad with protein for dinner. ⠀
⠀
3. Once you have it all written down, you can go to the grocery store without overloading your cart with food that will spoil because you’ll never get to. Read labels if you must purchase packaged items but if you can avoid it lean towards fresh items. Meal⠀
Prepping will help avoid the food from spoiling for sitting in your fridge all week. ⠀

Still shaping up, week by week getting better and stronger. Lifting heavy in my case is the key, opens new possibilities and workouts which I wasn't able to do few years ago because body was to week. Now everything working with benefits 🏋️‍♂️💪💪

For me nothing feels better that sore, ripped muscle after training... Could live in gym 🤔 nah, to many things to do outside. But yeah when I'm here my life gym takes over... 💪💪
