For lunch i had #dumplings filled with #pumpkin, salat and hot sauce🌶 i had weight in today and gained 600 grams. I'm totally fine with it but i have the feeling my familiy expected me to gain more. It was really hard to get out of bed this morning! It’s Monday, the rain was soothing, and the temperature dropped 40 degrees, making the bed warm and cozy. My eyes were puffy and swollen, and I could still feel the soreness in my legs from two days of strenuous workouts. The smell of almond toffee coffee and the hungry dogs were the only things that could peel me out of bed. But then there is my morning routine.

My morning routine is the hour I spend preparing for the day ahead. I read my Melody Beattie devotion and the Daily Reflection...I journal about my thoughts on those or something that may still be troubling me from the day before...and I’ve even added a new gratitude journal that sparks ideas beyond just the typical “list”. It is really hard to have a negative attitude when you’ve spent an hour reflecting on life lessons and reasons to be grateful.

I know not everyone has the luxury of devotion time (although I would challenge you to set the alarm a few minutes earlier to work in SOMETHING). I know sometimes it is all you can do to get out of bed on time, down some coffee, get the kids off to school and fly into work. Some days just start lousy and seem to go downhill from there, and Mondays aren’t doing themselves any favors. Remember that while you control so little of what happens in this world, you DO control your attitude about it. Today, will your glass be half empty or half full? Today, I challenge you to fill the day with OPTIMISM.

I'm having a terrible day - and I still have classes to teach and a training session to get in before I can go home. The weak part or me wants give in and go hide from the world but that's not going to get me to my goal. Got to refocus that energy and point myself at something positive. I'm not always going to be motivated, so I'm trying to teach myself how to be disciplined. .

Morning snack : Buttermint tea with an apple 🍎Sorry I haven’t posted in quite a while, I’ve been quite down this week. I can’t really explain why I’ve just felt very absent... if that makes sense? But today should be a very positive day because I get my braces taken off!! I’ve had them on for almost 3 years now... so it’s definitely a momentous day 💪🏼 tomorrow I have my CAMHS meeting. I’m really dreading getting weighed because I don’t want to have gained weight whilst trying to be on a maintenance diet 😕 However I’m looking forward to talking about things 🤷🏽‍♀️ Anyway, hope everyone has a positive day ❤️

Up until about 5/6 years ago...I was such a lost soul. 
I was just this little girl, wandering in a meadow. With no one around. Heavy, heavy fog. Trying to find my way around. Pockets of sunshine peaking through only so often. The sun was all around me, I just couldn’t see it. I was blind. I was being held captive by something that could be blown away so easy. But it couldn’t be done by my own breath. When I picked up my bible and began seeking the lord, a gust of wind had blown away the mist, and I could finally see... I wasn’t alone all along.

RSD: 903 & I’m back to my usual training. It was cold out & the vest was good, but I got hot on the last mile...and I needed to hack out something. So I had a few breaks on he second mile. Then I got in Iron Strength in 20 minutes & surprisingly it did not hurt. Breathing of course is off, but once this cold goes away, I expect everything to go back to normal. 🤞🏽🏋🏽‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🐾🐶

In one of my first blogs called Invisible Disabilities 101, I talked about some of the challenges of having disabilities. (I wear leg braces under my clothing) that aren’t obvious to others. The most common being the risk of being attacked for parking in a ”handicap” ♿️ space.

Some people with invisible disabilities can barely take a shower or walk 👣 10 feet without getting fatigued. Others, have terrible balance and/or debilitating pain. No one should ever have to prove their illness or disability to anyone else.

So I'm back to training and it feels so good 🙌 
Been stretching a lot recently so I thought I would post a few of my favourite yoga poses to open up your hips 🧘 Tight hips can result in so many injuries and aggravate sciatica and a tight lower back, which I feel like everyone has issues with at some point 🤷‍♀️
⏩ SWIPEY SWIPE to see an animation of my hip opening and piriformis injury flow 〰️ I included both variations of a crossover hip stretch ✌️ anyhoo, yoga:
🦋 Butterfly pose: fold over across crossed legs with your soles of your feet touching, pulling your feet open like a book 📖
🦎 Lizard pose: in a lunge, bring the back knee to the ground and drop your body inside your front leg to stretch out that inner thigh 😅

So I'm back to training and it feels so good 🙌 Been stretching a lot recently so I thought I would post a few of my favourite yoga poses to open up your hips 🧘 Tight hips can result in so many injuries and aggravate sciatica and a tight lower back, which I feel like everyone has issues with at some point 🤷‍♀️ ⏩ SWIPEY SWIPE to see an animation of my hip opening and piriformis injury flow 〰️ I included both variations of a crossover hip stretch ✌️ anyhoo, yoga: 🦋 Butterfly pose: fold over across crossed legs with your soles of your feet touching, pulling your feet open like a book 📖 🦎 Lizard pose: in a lunge, bring the back knee to the ground and drop your body inside your front leg to stretch out that inner thigh 😅 🐦 Pigeon pose: on all fours, bring your knee to meet your wrist and place the ankle of that leg in front of the opposite hip. I am by no means what the ‘industry’ wants anymore. And I don’t think I want to be. I’m stronger now physically and mentally, and even if sometimes I relapse, each time I do I manage to come back without getting sucked as far in as I was before. If beauty is found through almost killing yourself, bitch please I’d rather be ugly and deadlift my way to happiness. #recovery #fitness #journey #ed #gym #girlswholift #weightlifting

In May this year, this young man was rushed to RAHETID from the airport. He had been working in Malaysia, but for the last five years had been having a miserable time. His bowel would open every few hours, excreting watery stool, on many occasions mixed with blood. The few months before arriving in Dhaka, he had noticed that his urine became very dirty and full of air bubbles. By the time he arrived at RAHETID he was extremely unwell with septicaemia; systemic inflammatory response syndrome and septic shock; heading towards multi-organ failure. He and his family had given up all hope.
The team at RAHETID, led by Professor Anwar, worked relentlessly over the next few days. Over the course of his stay he was taken to the Operation Theatre. He had flexible sigmoidoscopy, cystoscopy and a biopsy to understand and help improve his condition. After he did start to improve, he was taken in for a five hour surgery, where a sigmoid colectomy was performed, and the sigmoid colon was separated from the urinary bladder. He was also given a temporary stoma. He recovered well and went home.

On his subsequent visits, the very softly spoken man of few words started to come out of his shell and glowed with happiness each time he visited us in Outpatients. He had started enjoying food, something he could not remember doing for a long time. His relationship with his family, especially his dad was greatly improving.

Professor Anwar recently performed the reversal operation for his stoma. After a two day stay, this new and improved, positive young man went home, looking towards a bright future.

#Hypersensibel und was das für mich bedeutet im Alltag, seht ihr im Video! Heute ist einer dieser Tage. 
Jeder 4 soll Hypersensitiv sein,laut Schätzungen. Eine anerkannte Erkrankung ist es nicht und sollte es auch nicht werden. Dennoch bereits #JeromeKagan, #AliceMiller, #CarlGustavJung und #IwanPetrowitschPawlow haben wissenschaftlich geforscht, aber nur unzureichende Ergebnisse erzielen können. Mittlerweile gibt es Studien die laufen, ob es genetische Faktoren gibt. Die gibt es. Aber auch Umweltfaktoren. Wie bei jeder Erkrankung. 
Ich weiß für mich, dass ich endlich eine Beschreibung für meine Gefühlswelt habe. Was mir persönlich hilft, alles besser einzuordnen und auch besser auf mich zu achten. Es gibt Tage, da ist mir jeder Luftzug zu viel. Jedes sarkastische Wort, oder seelische Problem trifft mich körperlich. Löst Schmerzen aus. 
Medizinisch wurde mir 2013 in meiner Reha deswegen eine #somatoforme #Schmerzstörung mit Angst und Depressiven Zügen bestätigt. 
Ich glaube auch, dass die Borreliose nur dadurch so schwerwiegend für mich war und oft ist. Ich merke es eben, wenn sich Bakterien durch Organe und Knochen fressen. Ich kann das fühlen. Wie ich diese Zustände alle beschreiben kann, damit mich meine Ärzte verstehen, dass hat lange gedauert. 33 Jahre! 
Aber auch das sehe ich seher als Gabe an, mittlerweile. Ich muss nur lernen mein Leben nach mir zu richten und nicht ich mich, nach dem Leben! 💚 🍀 🙏
Jahrelang wurde ich mit Psychopharmaka ruhig gestellt. Damit ich funktioniere. Damit ich meine 85 stunden in der Woche abreißen kann. Klar, ich nahm diese selbst ein, jedoch war mir auch einfach nicht klar, was mit mir los ist. Ich übe mich nun im Kennenlernen meiner selbst. Und im aushalten und lieben lernen der übermächtigen Gefühlswelt! Die überall um mich herum schwirrt. ES IST EIN GESCHENK!

🍂I was thinking a lot about my sobriety while I was away. It was crazy, one of the first things I noticed in the farm was a bottle of wine and my mind said, “I want that, wouldn’t that be fun.”🍂

🍂No matter how long I’ve been sober for, those thoughts may always be there. What matters is my second thought saying, “Homie, checkout your life now. Everything you have would not exist without you being sober. Don’t forget that.”🍂

Here’s that after-baby perispray I talked about on my stories a couple days ago! This will be in my birth bag to help me recover and heal after delivery. AFTER BABY SPRAY
In a 30 ml spray bottle, fill with half rose water and half witch hazel. Then add 15 drops Frankincense, 8 drops Helichrysum, 10 drops Rose, and 15 drops Copaiba.

Some thoughts on World Mental Health Day.

We ALL have mental health. In the same way that we all have PHYSICAL health. Sometimes our physical health is BAD, we have a cold or the flu or food poisoning. Some might have a more permanent or lasting illness or condition. Sometimes our mental health is BAD, we have difficulty being sociable or a depressive episode. Some might have a more permanent or lasting illness or condition. It’s pretty straightforward. I’ve heard people say “he’s got mental health” when what they mean is “that person is struggling with their mental health”. And let’s call it what it is - Depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia and so on and so on and so forth, these are mental ILLNESSES. AND THAT’S OK. There’s such a stigma around them still that we even shy away from calling them illnesses because, well why? Because illness supposedly makes you weaker? Because it’s undesirable to be “ill” and better to be “healthy”? Mental illness is NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF. .
Mental illness, just like physical illness, can be eased and managed with medication and therapies. It means you’ll have good days and bad days, just like you would with any other ailment. It means it’s ok to give yourself permission to curl up under a duvet and sleep the way you would if you had a cold. THERE IS NO SHAME IN HAVING A MENTAL ILLNESS. .
For those living with mental illness, having a #WorldMentalHealthDay can seem...trite. Especially in a world where “mental health and well-being” has been packaged, wrapped in a bow and sold to us under the guise of retreats, yoga classes, scented candles and bath bombs. But it’s still SO important to have an awareness day like this because literally ANYONE can suffer from poor mental health or develop a mental illness (what’s the statistic? 1 in 4?) and without better understanding or being stigmatised for it, everyone suffers.

LET’S TALK: SOCIAL ANXIETY 😓.

Who ready for some #REALTALK? OK, so rewind a few years. I used to be a social butterfly. There was not a party that I would miss, and every party I went to, I was known as the “life of the party”. I loved drinking and I would always be the most intoxicated, which made me “fun” 😐.
.
.
Let’s fast forward to now. I don’t drink, I don’t go out (except for the 200 concerts I attend every year) and some days I struggle to leave the four walls of my bedroom. Everybody meet: SOCIAL ANXIETY! .
.
Why am I sharing this story with you? Because I want you to know that you’re not alone.
.
.
WHO HAVE I BECOME?. .
1️⃣. I worry about people’s reactions. 
2️⃣. I feel paranoid, judged, and insecure about everything I say and do in social situations. 
3️⃣. I avoid social situations.
4️⃣. I dwell on awkward moments.
.
.
That was hard to even type! But I want to share a few ways of trying to overcome these crippling feelings!

🧠. SHARE!! Hiding or suppressing anxiety actually produces more anxiety. The most useful step is to share your experience with friends and family, or even talk about them online.
🧠. BREATHE!! Your body is powerful. Learning the warning signs of when your anxiety flares up is important to help you take action. Try some breathing exercises..
🧠. FACE YOUR FEARS!! Avoiding social situations, yes will make you feel better at that particular moment, but this is only a short term solution (eek). Remember, saying no will give you the same result each time. Saying yes, however frightening, means you’re taking a chance and living your life.
🧠. STOP TRYING TO BE PERFECT!! It’s easy to forget that no one is perfect when we live in a world that aspires to achieve perfection. It’s also easy to forget that not everyone will like us nor does everyone need to. Ask yourself do YOU like everyone? It’s also often forgotten that it’s okay to make mistakes as it makes.
🧠. FIND YOUR SAFE PERSON!! I find that having my sister with me makes it easier for me to face scary situations. Take baby steps with this person.
