Introducing my 2nd favorite scene of ep. 5,

4 days. Introducing my 2nd favorite scene of ep. 5, "the Flea and the Acrobat" - Eleven in the void. This is the first time we see Eleven enter the void and it's just so eerie and so awesome. I love the minimalist direction the Duffers took when creating the look of the void; it's not flashy, it's not over-the-top, there's nothing to distract the viewer, nothing to detract from the feel of the void. The imagery/cinematography is perfect and beautifully shot. I ❤ this scene and all scenes in the void. All rights reserved by Netflix.

Well that was certainly weird.

I'd heard about @shleebaha ages ago (before they opened actually) and had wanted to try a session since.

Thanks to @sineadsocial, I finally had my first float. It was weird.
Finding the right position for myself was awkward and I kept switching.

When the lights were out and the music had stopped I could feel myself slowly spinning, but it seemed to go on for too long and I thought

Well that was certainly weird. I'd heard about ages ago (before they opened actually) and had wanted to try a session since. Thanks to I finally had my first float. It was weird. Finding the right position for myself was awkward and I kept switching. When the lights were out and the music had stopped I could feel myself slowly spinning, but it seemed to go on for too long and I thought "no, it's in my head, there isn't enough room in here to spin for that long" and gently bumped into the wall of the tank lol I think the epitome for me though, was when I found myself thinking "do I always blink that loud?!" The body feels crazy relaxed after it, and I'd say it'd be amazing the day after a hard gym session. I'll definitely be back! and you were definitely right about this place. 🛀

Meditation.  I'll skip past the tremendous growth I've personally and spiritually endured through the years and jump straight to how this has been a free, powerful and stabilizing therapy for brain trauma.  After the initial stay in bed in a dark room and sleep for weeks phase, I was hit with the profound knowledge that I am not my body.  I intellectually knew this, but in that moment, where the ground was on the ceiling, forgetting how a person moves, the intense vertigo, panic and fear; it hit in a very real way.  I began meditating (again) for a means to keep calm while my brain attempted to recalibrate and reboot.  I still walk and chant in my mind when vertigo hits in public (it's cool guys, no one can tell😉).* Skip over to the science of neurogenisis, decreasing inflammation and cortisole, increasing oxygenation and circulation, calming of the nervous system, ability to sustain attention and regulate emotion  The pre-frontal cortex regulates reasoning, memory, comprehension etc and is prone to damage from TBI. *You don't need to buy anything to meditate, you may lay down, sit up, use sensory deprivation, binaural beats, chanting, mantras, transcendental, guided audio, plant medicine.  You can even do a moving meditation such as walking through a park (take off your shoes and ground for some extra benefits). You don't have to isolate yourself, sit for hours or strive for oneness with the universe or attempt to
