Ok so I’m not nearly as lean as I was this time last year, but my legs have definitely become stronger and more shapely. I’m no longer stressing over missed workouts and I’m certainly not following a strict diet. I’m in a much better place mentally than I was a year ago, even a few months ago, and to me, that’s worth more than fitting into my favorite pair of skinny jeans.

All you need is 2 hours! 👊 I try not to spend as much time prepping in the summer and grilling helps with this - All protein this week was done on the BBQ! Have chicken burgers, marinated turkey scallopini + Greek souvlaki skewers. _ Always do up a lot of raw veggies since find they keep longer this way. My husband usually asks for celery, carrots & snap peas so those are staples 😉 The bell peppers I sautee in coconut oil before serving or add to omelettes for breakfast! Try to have at least one green veggie for salads - Went with spinach and arugula this week. I attempted this weight (455) 3 times in hopes of hitting my deadlift 1RM but failed miserably. I didn’t lock it out, this was as close as I got. Just gotta keep working hard and lifting heavy. I think deadlifts might be the death of me. I am pretty disappointed in myself because I should be lifting so much better than I am. I know it's only been about two weeks since I went back to the drawing board a little but still should be doing much better. Probably doesn't help that I try to lift more than I'm really supposed to. Anyway today was supposed to be deadlift singles at RPE 7,8,9 with two drop sets. I ended up hitting 170kg (374lbs), 180kg (396lbs) shown, and 200kg (440lbs) shown, then drops at 155kg (341). My left hamstring was not happy with my decision to go with 200kg but that should be easy weight. I worked my frustrations out with my feet up bench using 95kg (210lbs)x8, 100kg (220lbs)x8, and 105kg (230lbs) 5x8. I wrapped up with split squats using a 53lb kettlebell I believe. There may be so changes to my programing soon but we will see if it will work logistically. No matter what I've got to be better

⚽️⚽️ How's your balls? .... During the week a client asked me if I had tried these new "healthy' protein balls. ...... They were in the "healthy" aisle of the store as they were branded "Natural Wholefood Ingredients". ....... I hadn't & wondered what they were. ...... He sent me on a pic & the nutritional info on the back. ........ When I had a look at them, there was very little protein & they were very carb heavy. ....... One ball was 60 calories with a total of 16 balls per tub. The tubs weren't exactly large either so going through a full tub wouldn't be hard. That's approx 900 calories from 1 tub of a "healthy snack". One tub would be more than half a normal woman's total daily intake. ....... Absolute garbage. ....... You wonder how the population is getting so overweight/ obese. No need to wonder, I'll tell you why - people haven't been educated on what to look out for. Plus they are being mislead by companies & retailer's. .......... Hang in there! We all have bad days💗I have so many clients battling hard against old habits. It’s so easy to feel defeated. . The trick is to accept that is a process. A process that will come with many mistakes! And what you are shooting for is to get really good at recovering quickly from the mistakes! . There is just no point in getting upset you went off track. No point in self-loathing. No point in beating yourself up. There is no point because it doesn’t help you improve! . What does help is looking back with curiosity so you can plan for your weak spots and triggers! Don’t bury your head hoping old habits never show up! Plan for them to show up and plan how you will handle it! . Actually hope you have the chance to practice bouncing back. The more practice and the better you get, the stronger that pattern in your brain becomes. Then there starts to be longer periods of time between slip ups💗 . That is progress! That is the journey! It doesn’t get easier, you just get stronger. ✨ Today I reached the halfway point in my current program. Day 40 of 80. My body is stronger. I can do moves now that I couldn’t do at the start of this program. I don’t have to press pause as many times during a workout. One thing I love about these programs is that my trainer gives me the recipe for success but the ingredients are up to me. She gives me the workouts. But I can modify the moves, the resistance, and the weight depending on what I need. I’m feeling good at the halfway mark. Forcing myself to workout today. 😅After having a baby, I’ve realized you have to be careful with what you eat after the 6th week mark.. because you get that lazy feeling and don’t care too much with what you put into your body. After having my first child, I for sure got lazy and made excuses for putting off exercising and just eating terrible. I’m a definite hamburger/soda drinking girl okay so it’s definitely hard to stop cold turkey. Today is day 3 and I’m feeling a little weak, I honestly did think about getting a salad from chipotle or get a soda to prevent a headache coming on but pushed myself to say no and stop with my mind games lol it’s for sure your mind that plays tricks.
