What you aren’t seeing is some cellulite on the back of my thighs and booty. I’m a lower body weight holder. My upper body will get pretty lean before my legs, hips, buns come down πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

This Is My Story. I have always been a pretty active person, participating in soccer and dancing competitively. In 2012, I got a concussion from soccer that took a year to recover from. I had to quit dance, which I had been doing for almost 10 years, and I couldn’t continue playing soccer that season. I underwent rehab to help my recovery. Once I finally recovered from my concussion, I wasn’t in the shape I was in prior so I couldn’t go back to dance. I had gained some weight (which was needed at the time as I was extremely active) and had lost a lot of my flexibility so I wasn’t really in the shape a dancer is supposed to be in to continue at the level I was at. I was really devastated that I wasn’t able to return to dance which took up the majority of my life for almost a decade. I was able to continue with soccer and made that my new priority.
Through high school, I always heard β€œyou’re so skinny, you’re like a stick, do you even eat?”. Hearing all of these comments everyday made me really self conscious. I felt like I was constantly being judged for my body. I started to become really self conscious about my body and felt like I was constantly being judged on what and how much I was eating. In my head, I felt like I was under a microscope and people were just watching me. This started to make me feel really self conscious eating around people other than my family because I thought everyone had the same thoughts about me. I graduated high school and began a Science degree in 2017 at UBCO. Through my first year, I wasn’t eating the healthiest and wasn’t exercising enough. I began to feel very sluggish and unmotivated. School felt like a constant struggle and I didn’t enjoy what I was learning. After my first year, I decided to apply to transfer into a Kinesiology degree as I have always been fascinated by the human body. Transferring meant that I would restart first year again. So this is where I am now. I am almost finished my first semester of my first year in Kin and I’ve finally decided to change my mindset. This coming January, I will began making myself, my health and the gym a priority in my busy life. [Continues in the comments]
