Raise your hand if you've ever felt guilty eating chocolate!?🙋🏼‍♀️😬 - I've always wondered why chocolate has gotten such a bad reputation. And it's kind of funny if you think about it...😜 - In your 20's, it's the norm to go out drinking excessively. We know binge drinking isn't good for our health. You didn't need me to tell you that!!!👻 - Yet if we eat dessert?👀 We are SHAMED for it! We feel the need to say "I'm only going to have one bite" or "Okay but this is the last time I'm having it!" I bet this sounds familiar!💁🏼‍♀️ Following this we also tell ourselves to run a little longer, spend a little more time in the gym, or compensate by not eating as much in our next meal...😅 - I know this feeling all too well. I used to restrict some of my favorite foods because I realized if I ate less, I could change my body. Looking back, it's funny because chocolate is one of my absolute FAVORITE foods!!! Why tell yourself NO to something you LOVE!?❤️ - If you're having a hard time letting go of this belief, I just want to remind you that NO food is off limits. I repeat, NO FOOD IS OFF LIMITS. Calling foods good or bad does not tell you ANYTHING about what you are eating! FOOD IS FOOD. Some things are going really well but others are not. Will be glad to see my nurse and therapist on Thursday as I need to talk about a few things. Hope you’ve all had a good day people. Yesterday, sh*t hit the fan. I was stressed, my friends were stressed, and on top of the chaos of finals, I had some other personal things to deal with. I drove to my parents house and burst into tears, and my mom hugged me while my dad wiped mascara tears from my face so it wouldn’t ruin the sofa. I hit a low.

When I stopped crying, I did what I do best: I made a game plan. I spent the rest of the day being productive, and when I got back to school, all was well again.

It’s okay to fall apart. It’s okay to feel like your world is falling to pieces. The important thing is that you brush yourself off and keep moving forward. Life is stressful, but you are stronger. Fall apart when you need to, because you have everything you need to put yourself back together again. And in the end, you’ll see that life is actually pretty beautiful. You may just have to dig through the weeds to find the rose blooming just for you 🖤

Morning snack is a (very messy) bowl of proats with pb and biscoff biscuits on top with the other half of my chocolate protein drink. Kind of a second breakfast but I was craving some oats.

Lately I've been more hungry than usual, even with the amount i eat i still sometimes feel hungry and I feel guilty about wanting more. It's tough because it makes me feel I'm just gonna overeat and have no control ,but I forget since I workout alot and I'm constantly moving around my body is gonna need more food to keep me going so I can do all of these things. Dont be scared to listen to your bodies needs, no matter if you've already hit your goal amount or if you haven't worked out yet because your body knows what's best for you. If you're still hungry go and get a second serving or have that snack you wanted , don't let that guilt or the numbers stop you.

My lunch😻 Thai-style salad with tofu, edamame, vermicelli and veggies as well as a piece of bread 😛 How are you all doing ? I’ve been feeling very anxious at the idea of going IP soon, because I’ll be far from my family and friends, but I’m trying my best to stay positive because I know this is what I need to get better because I WILL NOT SPEND A LIFE A SLAVE TO MY EATING DISORDER and neither will you! 🇳🇱 || Planning voor vandaag is naar de fietsenmaker 🚲lopen om bandenplakkers te halen, omdat ze op zijn... 😭 Ik zal wel keihard worden uitgelachen 🤣 omdat ik afgelopen vrijdag ook al een lekker band haha 🤣. Ik heb schijnbaar een abonnement op banden plakken. Daarna lopend 🚶🏼‍♀️met m’n fiets🚲 terug naar huis. Daarna dus m’n band plakken voor de 4de keer in 2 weken. Wat ik vanmiddag ga doen, nog joet echt een idee maar ik denk iets voor therapie op papier 📝 zetten. Vanavond waterpolotraining 🤽🏼‍♀️. Geen idee hoe ik dat volg ga houden, aangezien ik het al een training zo koud had ❄️ dat ik de laatste 20 minuten van de training onder de douche gestaan heb. Ik was net een sneeuwpop ⛄️. Vanmorgen mezelf gewogen en ik was weer afgevallen. Niet helemaal de bedoeling, maar merk er zelf niks van. Alleen met de training misschien.

🇳🇱 || Planning for today is going to the bicycle repair shop to get tire patches, because they are on ... 😭 I will be laughed at very hard 🤣 because last Friday I also have a nice tire haha ​​🤣. I apparently have a tape subscription. Then walking back home with my bike🚲. Then I stick my tape for the 4th time in 2 weeks. What I am going to do this afternoon, is still really an idea, but I think I can put something on paper for therapy. Tonight water polo training 🤽🏼♀️. I have no idea how I will follow that, since I already had a workout so cold ❄️ that I had been in the shower for the last 20 minutes of training. I was just a snowman ⛄️. This morning I weighed myself and I had lost weight again. Not quite the intention, but do not notice anything of it. Only with the training maybe.

Guten Morgen ihr Hübschen 🌿
Da so viele von euch nachgefragt haben: Ja ich bin wieder stationär, diesmal in der Klinik Lüneburger Heide in Bad Bevensen. Ich bin hier hauptsächlich um meine Diagnose ADHS und die Panikattacken + Dissoziationen behandeln zu lassen. Natürlich geht es hier auch um die Magersucht, die extrem abhängig vom ADHS ist, was ganz oft bei Essstörungen der Fall ist, aber von vielen Kliniken nicht beachtet wird!  Diese Klinik ist darauf spezialisiert und deshalb bin ich sehr dankbar diesen Platz bekommen zu haben, da es keine andere Klinik gibt, die das macht. ADHS ist für mich keine Erkrankung sondern eher eine Besonderheit. Ja ich bin oft sehr aufgedreht, stehe unter Druck, bin chaotisch, vergesslich und verpeilt.. Aber dafür habe ich seeehr viel Kreativität, Empathie und Fantasie in mir und das nutze ich gut für mich. Normal kann jeder, deshalb versuche ich möglichst ICH zu sein und zu meinen Eigenschaften zu stehen. Gerne beantworte ich euch alle fragen zur Klinik und den Diagnosen. Ich werde hier Videos machen und bei Youtube reinstellen. Ich wünsche euch eine wundervolle Weihnachtszeit 🎄

I have definitely posted about this before but I think that having pets or being around animals is SO important in recovery. I am a huge animal lover and I truly believe that they can sense when something is wrong. Pets give unconditional love, always. Regardless of how you feel your body looks, your weight, your view of yourself... they always love you. I have a pup named Teddy (pictured here) and a perfect kitty named Iggy. If you aren’t in a position to adopt a pet try volunteering at a shelter to get some of this lovin!

#dinner tonight was half of this margarita pizza (from the harrods food hall, how fancy!!) which I shared with my mum - perks of my mum coming to visit is that she treats me to amazing food! This was really yummy, and a little unexpected- I hadn’t honestly planned on going out to dinner, and whilst this was quite challenging I wasn’t completely overwhelmed as we shared it, which is a relief because (tw?) I don’t think I’d have been able to cope with another challenge that completely overwhelmed me (the past couple of days have been hard) 🍕

A few thoughts for your Monday:
1. Those who are meant to be in your life will stay in your life.
2. You do not need to prove your worth to other people. They will see it. If they do not right now (which is bc of their own sh*t), they will eventually.
3. Just keep doing you. Do not take on other people’s stuff. It will bog you down. Just keep moving forward one foot in front of the other and the right people will be by your side.
4. Remember the bigger picture. Don’t let day to day stress cause you to make rash decisions. Make happen what you want to make happen.. if there is a will, there is a way.
5. You cannot control others. We can only control ourselves and our responses to things. 
6. If you are having a rough time, know that it will pass. You are a #warrior for a reason and you will get through it 💪🏻
7. You are never alone.

Happy Monday guys! 😁

So I’ve been thinking about how much of my mental space gets taken up at Christmas by thinking about food & my weight.  It’s natural though right, Amazing food is almost everywhere you look and all I went to do is shovel it in to my face! 🙈

This past month or so I’ve really got a handle on my ED again, binges have come to a stop, I’ve been training well and I’ve been eating better but I have been restricting not intentionally but.. well you know what I mean!

I’ve been feeling a lot better about my ED over all and I’m happy about that. Baby steps I guess! Absolutely determined to not let ED get in the way of me enjoying my favourite time of year again! 🎅🏼🎄🥳

Man it sure is judgey-wudgey out there. “Do xx to be a better mom”.
“Do xx to be healthier”.
“Don’t do xx to sleep better”.
“Do xx”. There is just a lot of pressure to do things the right way. There is also a lot of people with opinions about how to do things...are they wrong or bad for voicing their opinion? Hell NO! 
My point here is that you are doing the best you can. I believe that people, all people, really have good intent. Do we make mistakes? Yep. But at the end of the day you are doing your best for you, your job, and your family and that is Awesome!

We get in our own ways, for sure. But you are doing your best. Remember that and try to not let anyone else’s version of what is best for them make you feel “not enough”. Because you are enough!

We carry so much crap within us. Old beliefs about what is possible and what we’re capable of achieving. We carry old stagnant thinking that keeps us blinded from the light and stops us from dreaming big.
Beliefs matter. 
Beliefs are the invisible architecture of our minds. A creation from within that looks rock solid and holds up what we perceive as possible. Beliefs underlie how far we’ll go in life and can carry us towards unexpected places or can keep us hiding in our safe little cave. Playing small and never daring to dream big.

I’m still so traumatised by everything
So much happened in such a short space of time...
I’ll admit, it’s kinda funny that I swallowed a fork but also so fucking scary!
I’m actually kinda scarred.
I had a panic attack on Saturday which was triggered by being back at home where it all happened.
I began to feel the panic that I had felt & it all just hit me.
How did this all happen?
How did my life come to this?
__
ED crept his way in to my thoughts after I had calmed down:
‘Don’t worry! when you get better you can do this all again!!’
When I get better ???
Sorry?
How can I ‘get better’ if I continue to hurt my body?
How can I ever recover if I don’t respect, love & trust my body?
ED promised me that nothing bad would ever happen to me
ED swore that I would be safe
I bloody swallowed a fork!
I had to have surgery because of ED
I had to stay in hospital because of ED
I had so much panic & sadness because of ED
I saw my loved ones cry & worry because of ED
I’m just done with it all.
Nothing is ever worth this much pain
I do not want this life for myself 
Tbh, the thought of bingeing & purging scares me so much now.
Even just the thought of hurting my body again the way I did makes me physically sick.

This needed to happen to me.
I needed a wake up call.
It’s time for me to really prioritise my health & happiness.
I don’t care if I gain weight
I don’t care if I eat how ever many calories
I don’t care if I’m eating too regularly
I don’t care if my appetite is more than others
I don’t care. I just really don’t care.
It’s fucking boring to care so much & SO mentally, physically & emotionally damaging. 
Sorry ED, it’s time for you to fork off!

Tea the other night was chilli Von carne with carrots and mushrooms and basil😍I’d picked all day and fancied chilli but not with any rice or bread, but my mums chilli is amazing! Going to Cheshire oaks today to do some last Christmas shopping before next week because me and my sister are absolutely crazy with work, my parents are away for the night and we’re gonna go for a coffee and then come back and watch a few Xmas movies in our pjs🙌🏼hopefully I get all my presents sorted today I still have quite a few to get🍽can’t wait for Christmas but I’m running out of time!😂

Being a mother will one day make my world (and my belly) a little “bigger” …my life a little richer, my bank account a little poorer…. However for a while this possibility looked bleak, as a result of my eating  disorder I lost my periods for 6 years and was told by a fair few Drs if I didn’t get better this would decrease my chance of conceiving 
Loss of, or abnormal periods, referred to as amenorrhea, is one of the main problems that can happen as a consequence of an eating disorder, and can increase risk of infertility

Amenorrhea may result in girls when body fat falls below a threshold value that is necessary for menstruation and the maintenance of ovulation

When malnourishment continues for a long period of time, or the body is repeatedly put under undo amounts of stress this can increase fertility issues in the future

Other lifestyle factors, like stress from jobs or over exercising can also contribute to this. I also lost mine when I was working on the cruise ships - a combination of diet and lifestyle 
When this happens it’s your bodies way of waving the red flag 🚩 “whoooooa hold up sista we are NOT a safe environment for supporting another life”

During my recovery I was often in conflict between me wanting to get better and be a healthy weight; a fully functioning future home of any mini-minion(s) and the sick success my eating disorder would tell me having no periods was: I was “ill enough” to shut my body down. 
Abusing my body in this way felt a “safe” place to be

I don’t  know about you but i definitely  want to be the mum who’s cartwheeling & cliff diving, snorkelling & cycling, eating ice cream and throwing fun birthday parties with cake... The one teaching there kids to respect their bodies & enjoy their lives because their mum does too

Being a mother will one day make my world (and my belly) a little “bigger” …my life a little richer, my bank account a little poorer…. However for a while this possibility looked bleak, as a result of my eating disorder I lost my periods for 6 years and was told by a fair few Drs if I didn’t get better this would decrease my chance of conceiving Loss of, or abnormal periods, referred to as amenorrhea, is one of the main problems that can happen as a consequence of an eating disorder, and can increase risk of infertility 
Amenorrhea may result in girls when body fat falls below a threshold value that is necessary for menstruation and the maintenance of ovulation When malnourishment continues for a long period of time, or the body is repeatedly put under undo amounts of stress this can increase fertility issues in the future Other lifestyle factors, like stress from jobs or over exercising can also contribute to this. I also lost mine when I was working on the cruise ships - a combination of diet and lifestyle When this happens it’s your bodies way of waving the red flag 🚩 “whoooooa hold up sista we are NOT a safe environment for supporting another life” During my recovery I was often in conflict between me wanting to get better and be a healthy weight; a fully functioning future home of any mini-minion(s) and the sick success my eating disorder would tell me having no periods was: I was “ill enough” to shut my body down. Abusing my body in this way felt a “safe” place to be I don’t know about you but i definitely want to be the mum who’s cartwheeling & cliff diving, snorkelling & cycling, eating ice cream and throwing fun birthday parties with cake... The one teaching there kids to respect their bodies & enjoy their lives because their mum does too Be it travelling, studying, socialising, or more long term goals such as conceiving, or protecting your bone health. Not the best picture of my #breakfast but it was porridge with peanut butter! I’ve got therapy today which I’m looking forward to after having a couple of triggering moments this week - a couple of times what I ate was out of my control (friends who didn’t know about my ed cooked) and it was a bit too much to deal with so thoughts are pretty strong BUT I have been keeping going as best as I can 💪

😂 To each their own-but I really don’t enjoy running, so I don’t do it.

It’s so hard because eating disorders can convince you that you ‘enjoy’ a form of movement when in reality you do it because of fear (been there!)

I would encourage you to get curious about your relationship to movement.
.
Is it rigid? Are you able to take breaks? Do you feel guilty if you don’t move? Do you try to compensate for food eaten?
.
If you have an unhealthy relationship to exercise-then the HEALTHIEST thing for you may be taking some time off.
.
Healing your relationship to movement may entail eventually working to find forms of movement that you actually enjoy (ie dancing, walking, yoga-you do you 💃).
.
Another question to ask yourself-If someone could waive a magic wand and your weight became unchangeable-what kind of movement would you do then, if any?

Today I’m not planning to do any form of movement, and of course am still eating all of the things. 💁🏼‍♀️

I wrote this a while back. Today, I’m reminding myself that I don’t need to hold on to the desire of control.
God is taking the lead

Tea tonight was a roasted veg garden bowl with rice skewers and roasted potatoes, onions, carrots, squash, turnip and broccoli in a raspberry vinaigrette😍so amazing! Went to a cute little pub to exchange my first Xmas prezzies with some friends I won’t see until new year😊had a lovely evening then came back and watched I’m a celeb final, so glad Harry won!!!🥗🥕🥔🥦🍽

🇳🇱 || Hoe het met mij gaat op dit moment? Met up’s and down’s. Maar dathoort erbij denk ik? De laatste tijd ben ik afgevallen ⬇️,waardoor ik nu op ondergewicht zit. Ik heb daar geen last van in mijn dagelijkse leven. Alles voelt als een achtbaan 🎢, omdat ik nu hele dagen thuis 🏠 zit, niks doe en dus ook niet echt het nut ervan in zie om te eten. Donderdagde eerste afspraak bij een nieuwe therapeut en ik poep alle kleuren van de regenboog 🌈. Zo onwijs spannend omdat ik echt niet weet wat ik kan verwachten. Straks maakt ze teveel emoties los en weet ik vervolgens niet wat ik eraan moet. Na die afspraak met de trein 🚆meteen door naar Enschede. Even lekker een lang weekend ontspannen bij vrienden 🥰. Super veel zin en ik hoop dat ik daar echt weer even m’n rust terug kan vinden. Ben ik echt even aan toe!

🇬🇧 || How are I doing at this moment? With up and down. But that's what I think? I've lost weight lately waardoor, so I'm underweight now. I do not suffer from that in my daily life. Everything feels like a roller coaster 🎢, because now I am at home hele all day, do nothing and therefore do not really see the point of eating it. Thursday the first appointment with a new therapist and I shit all the colors of the rainbow 🌈. It's so uncomfortably exciting because I really do not know what to expect. Soon she will release too many emotions and then I will not know what to do about it. After that appointment with the train, I went straight to Enschede. A nice long relaxing weekend with friends 🥰. Super good sense and I hope that I can really find my peace again. Am I really here!

Shout to @iamdaniadriana for speaking the truth and continuing to smash the patriarchy and diet culture. I’ve been wanting to talk about the way our culture approaches different people struggling with ED’s and body positivity. Saying that “as long as your healthy” is not being body positive because your health does not determine your worth. ALL BODIES deserve to be accepted. You are not better than someone because of your body type or because of the food you consume. I understand that even though I have body image issues, my body is still accepted by society. I don’t face discrimination or judgement or hate mail for fighting back my ED and gaining weight because my body still fits into what categorizes as “acceptable.” This is what is fucked up about society. There are differing levels of discrimination based on levels of fatness, AND THIS IS WRONG. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH FATNESS. FATNESS IS NOT A DIRECT CORRELATION OF UNHEALTHINESS, AND THINNESS IS NOT A DIRECT CORRELATION OF HEALTH. Also, someone else’s health is none of your goddamn business and doesn’t define how worthy they are. 🖤

One of the most powerful tools for motivation is having a clearly defined “why.” Why do you want to change? What does life look like without ED? What will you be able to do that you can’t do while stuck in the abusive relationship with ED?

Write (or type) this out on nice paper. Carry it with you or post it where you will see it every day. This is easiest to write when you are feeling motivated and strong, and most necessary to read when you are feeling weak and powerless. 
You have the ability to change your life. You can make big changes or small changes. Every choice can move you forward, or leave you in your current situation. What choice do you want to make today?

-Be in a healthy relationship with someone else
-Have a social life
-Be able to travel
-Be confident
-Exercise and be active
-Think clearly and have better memory
-Feel my emotions/feelings
-Write a book on my experiences
