Developing Self-Confidence: “Feel the fear, and do it anyway.” 💡Challenge Self-Limiting Beliefs - Silence the voice of doubt with more optimistic self-talk with these 3 steps... 1. IDENTIFY your self-limiting beliefs: become aware of your inner doubts and fears. You must dig deep and be self aware of the thought patterns that are holding you back from taking action. A good way to do this is monitor your emotional triggers. If a specific situation makes you feel a certain way, ie anxious, excited, afraid, take a moment to connect with your mind to reflect on what is driving these emotions. Being mindful of your inner voice or inner narrative over the course of the day will assist you in articulating your self limiting beliefs. 
2. CHALLENGE your self-limiting beliefs: Once you have identified your self limiting-beliefs and reflected on how they impact your feelings and emotions, it’s time to challenge them by searching for evidence that contradicts them; finding the counter-argument. 
3. CHANGE the narrative: Replace your self-limiting belief or ‘negative thought pattern’ with a more rational, optimistic and reasonable narrative. 
Fear of failure WILL hold you back. It’s essential to shift our mindset by challenging our thoughts, jumping in the deep end, taking risks and stepping outside of our comfort zones. Shift your mindset from being a ‘fixed mindset’ to a ‘growth mindset’ an example of this is seeing failure as an opportunity to grow rather than a limit of your abilities.

Proud but never satisfied 🤙🏽

I’ve been putting a huge emphasis on growing my legs and I know I talk about it a lot. But honestly, my legs have been a huge challenge for me to grow because of my ankle surgery. It’s taken 3 years post surgery to get where I am today and I’m very content with where I’m at! My legs have never been this strong or big before and I can only hope to keep making progress!

Today I deadlifted 4 sets x 2 reps with 87% (275) of my max 🙏🏽 The sets felt really good and I feel 365 is in my near future! The squat clip is from Saturday where I was suppose to do 5 sets x 3 reps wit 86% of my max but decided to do 88% (225) for the connivance of switching weight! I’m so glad I did because 225 felt super easy! I literally was concerned I wasn’t going deep enough and obviously that is not the case! If I went for just 1 set with this weight I feel I can easily get 6-8 solid reps! Keep challenging yourself and you’ll be surprised of what you can accomplish!

I've been squatting with an Ohio power bar as of late and switching back to the texas bar; it defintely felt foreign 🤦‍♂️. My bar placement was everywhere today and my elbows wanted to fly to the heavens every rep 🤣. Oh well, I know what I need to fix. Let's get to work.

Finished off legs with some Leg Extensions, the last set was a drop set too. I was so fatigued, because today I was squatting and I got 225 for my 4x10, and I pushed myself so I can grow, but also shocked my legs because I haven’t squatted in a minute, so that’s good too 🦵🏼💪🏼. Just trying to grow those small things ya feel? 🥵
