Christmas time is often a time to INDULGE. I’m not just talking food here but ‘indulging’ in family time, celebrations with work colleagues or friends and holidays. ⠀⠀
Lately I’ve seen media that places indulgence in the ‘bad’ or ‘naughty’ category. There’s nothing bad nor naughty about indulgence in food. Indulgence could be seen more about self-care than self-loathing way it’s portrayed. ⠀⠀

I’m starting a nutritional new year experiment 🙈🍒
I’ve been inspired by @earthyandy story of change after one month of going vegan.
However atm I’m 80% plant based and already needing to take vitamin B supplements and nervous about how the change will affect my training,everyday life and also the health of my body. 
So I’ve decided to do a New Years experiment.....
I’m going to get all my bloods taken in the new year @osanafamilywellness 
and eat quality sourced meat once a day and see what happens physically, emotionally and biochemically.
Then for the second month I’ll go vegan and see what changes. 👨‍⚕️ 🥑🥥🥦🍍🥬🍋✨
I’m really excited to take this on and share my journey as I hope I can help others with this battle.
I want to be 100% plant based. 🌍 
Even if the idea of being gluten free AND vegan gives me severe social anxiety 😬
Has anyone else had any similar experiences? Or tested out what truly works the best for their body? Would love to know 🙏🏻

Happy Wednesday lovelies! I finished university for the holidays after my exam yesterday morning 🎉 been busy packing and stuff, and yesterday we went to my friend's belated bday dinner + Xmas night out!

This is the basil stir fry from @barsobaedinburgh which was super flavourful with chilli and garlic 👅 They initially said that their tofu wasn't vegan (?!?!) so I asked for more veg instead. Then the food was brought out with tofu anyway, and when I asked about it the waitress went back to the kitchen, then came back with the same plate and said that the chef said that the tofu was in fact vegan now...? A bit suspicious but I genuinely am confused as to how and why one would make non-vegan tofu in the first place, so was inclined to believe her.

The menu is great in terms of what food's on offer, and with a student card it's 50% off food and 25% off drinks during the week! Will definitely go back at some point (and ask about tofu again lol) 😌

On my way to the airport and my beloved Stockholm now; can't wait to get there! 🇸🇪 •

Oggi porridge al cioccolato fondente 99 % con aggiunta di pere in cottura ed albume, sopra una cremina fatta con yogurt di soia, pera cotta al vapore, cannella e un pizzico di gomma di guar, per finire come topping un cucchiaino di crema di nocciole @damiano_organic, per adesso la mia preferita!! Adoro le loro creme! Molto più liquide per assenza di emulsionati, un concentrato di gusto 😍

I'm loving setting up the water station for my clients this week: recycled glasses from food jars, re-usable straws, lemons from my tree, my favorite lemon squeezer, and flowers to match from @happiness_through_flowers (they really do make you happier😊) Only a shame that I can't do this for my virtual clients!

Hydration tip: Don't worry about how many cups you drink (like "you must drink 8 glasses" dogma). Instead drink as much as you need to keep your urine a light pale-clearish color. Then you're in the hydration zone! COCONUT milk icing on banana bread

🙌🏻 I feel you just can’t beat a good banana bread and you know I love my sweet stuff so I’ve topped it with some coconut icing too! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😋You won’t regret making this one! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👩🏻‍🍳INGREDIENTS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 1 cup of spelt flour (or whole meal)
- 1/2 cup of oat flour - 1/3 of a cup of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 2 medium mashed bananas (preferably ripe)
- 2 eggs - or 2 flaxseed eggs
- 3/4 cup of plant milk
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 tsp of cinnamon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥄ICING
- 1 x 400ml tin coconut milk
- 2 tbsp icing sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius and grease a 1lb loaf tin with coconut oil.
In a bowl, combine all wet ingredients. Then add the flours, sugar and baking powder. 
Pour the mixture into your prepared tin and bake for 40 minutes (until knife comes out clean).
Whilst the bread is baking you can prepare your icing. (See method for icing)
Once the bread is baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before removing from the tin. Allow the bread to cool completely before icing.

⭐️METHOD FOR ICING
Shake the tin of coconut milk and chill it in the fridge overnight. Spoon out the coconut cream, leaving the liquid in the tin. Keep the liquid as you may need to use some to loosen the cream. Briefly whisk the coconut milk with the icing sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Spread on top of the banana bread (once cooled) and finish off with chopped hazelnuts. (optional). ENJOY!

JOUR 19 - CHALLENGE 📅 DE L’AVENT !

J’espère que vous passez une bonne semaine les amis. 
Vous savez je vous fait la moral sur les excuses que l’on se donne & que l’on devrait les combattre…mais ça ne veut pas dire qu’il ne faut plus être indulgent.

Une cliente m’a encore dit hier « mais je suis une flemmarde & je m’en veux ! »

Vous savez ce qui compte d’autant plus que le physique pour une bonne santé?

Le mental.

Si vous gardez des pensées négatives à votre égard, que vous vous en voulez pour x-y chose que vous vous étiez promis de faire mais que vous n’avez pas fait, vous n’irez certainement pas loin en ce qui concerne le bien-être général. 
Fixez-vous des objectifs à court terme, facilement atteignable et comme me dit souvent un très bon ami à moi: « ne soyez pas trop dur envers vous-même ». Si nous voulons que notre corps coopère il faut savoir le soutenir dans n’importe quelle phase du changement. 
Sachez vous apprécier, avant de vouloir changer! 💫

• За кадром 5 безе 
В планах сегодня пройти не менее 6000 шагов, сходить в магазин, сделать задание, которое мне выслала моя учительница по обществознанию, чтобы я была аттестована и прибраться дома 😌
Я уже успела помыть голову, а сейчас пойду в магазин.

I'm hearing a common thread of thought from my clients this week, which is that December is causing them to completely 'let go'. The only thing they are letting go of is a diet mentality and self sabotage. We are all stuck in a pattern that - excuse the pun - we've been fed, which is that is Christmas = excess and January = restriction. 🤦‍♀️ You know your body better than anyone else and come on, December is no time for restriction but it also isn't a time to feel bad about 'letting go'. Accept you aren't going to be your healthiest. Accept you might gain a bit of weight. Accept that it isn't the end of the world. Accept that your body just might level you out naturally come January when you'll likely be glad to see the back of mince pies and the leftover quality streets that no one ever eats. I'm hearing a common thread of thought from my clients this week, which is that December is causing them to completely 'let go'. The only thing they are letting go of is a diet mentality and self sabotage. We are all stuck in a pattern that - excuse the pun - we've been fed, which is that is Christmas = excess and January = restriction. 🤦‍♀️ You know your body better than anyone else and come on, December is no time for restriction but it also isn't a time to feel bad about 'letting go'. Accept you aren't going to be your healthiest. Accept you might gain a bit of weight. Accept that it isn't the end of the world. Accept that your body just might level you out naturally come January when you'll likely be glad to see the back of mince pies and the leftover quality streets that no one ever eats. Stop getting sucked into an all or nothing mentality. Trust in your hunger and fullness. Trust in your body (It's smarter than you think) and most importantly, be kind to yourself. I'm a big fan of intuitive eating as a long term nutritional approach. However, I realize it may not be for all people at all times. For example, if you want to get on stage as a bodybuilder or bikini athlete, tracking will likely be necessary. 🧐⠀

What I tend to find is that people are using approaches that are too restrictive for their goals. If you have a general goal of getting stronger or building muscle, you don't have to track everything that you eat everyday strictly. It might be helpful to track certain things for a short period of time, such as calorie or protein intake, but ideally I think we should all be able to eat without the use of a calorie tracking app. 🤓⠀

If you are wanting to transition to a more intuitive approach, you don't have to jump straight into it. You can move your way along this nutritional spectrum and stay in each phase for as long as you want. There's no finish line. The way we eat is constantly shifting, as our goals, lifestyle and bodies change over time. 😊⠀

• Leche de coco 0 azúc.añad.

Proceso 👩🏼‍🍳:
• Vertemos la leche de coco y las claras de huevo en una olla y llevamos dicha mezcla al punto de ebullición 🔥.
• Introducimos nuestra mida de copos de avena y removemos hasta conseguir la textura que nos gusta .
• Vertemos la mezcla en un bol y le añadimos los toppings. En mi casi mucho coco rallado 🙈 y fresitas laminadas.
• Listo! Ya tenemos nuestro desayuno 🔝 para empezar este miércoles a tope de energía ♥️✨ .

French toast, anyone? Contrary to popular belief, this can be a delicious and nutritious breakfast. Thick slices of bread (wholemeal, plain, sourdough.. whatever you fancy!), eggs, milk and some tasty toppings make for a fantastic balance of protein and carbohydrates, possibly even getting in some fruit and/or some heart-loving fats. Sometimes it’s great smothered with Nutella and strawberries, sometimes it’s even better with ricotta, banana and honey.  Alongside a cup of hot coffee please ☕️ What’s your favourite French toast combo?! ✨

#transformationTuesday ONE WHOLE YEAR! I snapped the pic on the left last December (12th) in Germany! I was a little over 3 months post show after #NorthAmericans and think I only gained like 8-10lbs [125-127 lbs] from my low weight competing (which I clearly needed 😆) After my competition I immediately took a balanced approach and by that I don’t mean counting macros I legit went intuitive . I ate a shit ton of fats, kept my protein high and ate all the carbs. I kept a pretty clean diet and drank alcohol a few times a week ( because hello Europe ) and also ate chocolate... often 😂 I was suuuper happy with maintaining my weight while training hard and also enjoying myself more than I had in years due to competing on and off. I traveled all around Europe. I snowboarded, I hiked, I walked A LOT because I was constantly exploring so it was fairly easy to keep weight off. Now on the right an entire year later after a dozen countries full of memories, then the remaining of this year back home enjoying life with the hubby and training to become a Pilot in Command... and still training in the gym of course, I’m about 137-140 lbs . That’s a 10-12 lb weight gain in a year. It’s funny though... I hardly notice the difference in pics 😂😂 of course my clothes fit tighter and my abs aren’t defined anymore but I finally have weight in my lower body and I feel like I actually gained shape. I’ve gained well over 20 lbs from my stage weight but I have zero reservations about it because 1. I’m healthy AF and feel great 2. I’m still “lean” 3. I’m happy AF ☺️🌮🏋🏻‍♀️ I never thought I’d actually appreciate how I looked at this weight because I never took a long period of time like this to gain it. Guess weight really isn’t everything huh 😳🙃 #HormonesForTheWin #NattyAF #SameShirtJustTighter

I love bringing big salads for work lunches because they are easy to throw together, they can be very filling when you have a variety of foods in them, and I feel good after eating. I also like that I don’t need to destroy nutrients by heating in a microwave. This salad has lettuce, baby bella mushrooms, acorn squash, shredded chicken, pumpkin seeds, @traderjoes salad toppers, everything but the bagel seasoning, and drizzled with olive oil and coconut aminos.

. -чёрный хлеб с арахисовой пастой и бананом (странное сочетание солёного чёрного хлеба, пасты и сладкого банана, но мне понравилось)

Сегодня сложный день, так как мне нужно сделать очень много доп. заданий + с.р по биологии и диктант по английскому (я ничего не учила) Вообщем, цель на сегодня - выжить😖

Сложные обстоятельства, жизненные ситуации имеют на нас очень большое влияние. Иногда, действительно, мы не в силах их изменить. Они могут затрагивать все сферы нашей жизни, тем самым негативно сказываясь на нашем здоровье и психике. 
О ЗДОРОВЬЕ. Как известно, любой стресс отрицательно воздействует на весь организм в целом. Появляется бессонница, усталость, головные боли, снижается иммунитет. Не говоря уже, о росте такого гормона как кортизол.
Кортизол - это гормон, который играет важную роль в реакции организма на стресс: он помогает деактивировать наименее важные функции, чтобы направить всю энергию на моментальное решение проблемы. Когда данный гормон постоянно находится на высоком уровне, то его последствиями становятся: снижается мышечная масса, повышается жировая масса, накапливаются жировые отложения на животе, развивается сахарный диабет второго типа, ухудшаются защитные функции организма.
О ПСИХИКЕ. По словам медиков, физические проявления стресса – лишь начало всех бед с организмом.
Прежде всего, под влиянием стресса у человека появляются проблемы со сном. Это могут быть проблемы с засыпанием или бессонница, когда проснувшись среди ночи, человек не может сомкнуть глаз до утра.Чуть позже к бессоннице добавляются другие, более тяжелые состояния. Подверженный хроническому стрессу впадает в депрессивное состояние, он безразличен ко всему происходящему, подавлен и немногословен. (следующий пост будет посвящён способами преодоления стресса)

My guest on this week's All Fired Up! podcast is Deb Burgard, @BodyPositivePhD, HAES warrior, eating disorder specialist and highly experienced psychologist. She has HAD ENOUGH of how our current eating disorders field is so incredibly full of weight bias, to the point where actual harm is being done to sufferers. So-called 'experts' need to check their weight bias, to wake up and see the BIG PICTURE of eating disorders. This homemade dressing took my boring tomato, cucumber, onion salad to the next level & was healthy too🙌🏼

2 tbsp dijon mustard

1 lemon
1 clove garlic

• За кадром два клюквенных хлебца 🥯
В планах сегодня пройти не менее 6000 шагов, сходить в ВкусВилл, погулять с родителями и вечером сделать оставшиеся уроки на понедельник(я до конца не выздоровела, так что в понедельник в школу не иду) 😌
Через час-два пойдём гулять 🕺🏼
