Day 47. Had a great rest day yesterday, and even though it was hard to get my head into the zone today as I usually have work beforehand during the week to mentally prep, I managed to find someone to train with and got to the gym before it turned to the afternoon.

I actually had to pull myself out of the gym today as I was starting to get carried away with the number of exercises I wanted to do. There's such a range when it comes to shoulders.

I use push-ups with 90% of my clients. There is almost always a solution for having clients of any level perform the key exercises. Here is an example of how an exercise can easily progress or regress to properly challenge your clients. 
1) incline push up 
2) less incline push up 🤦‍♂️
3) band assisted push up (use a variety of bands and band heights to meet your client) 
4) push up 👍
5) weight vest push up 
6) feet up (decline) weight vest push up 
7) feet up a little higher “””
8) slide out weight vest push
.
Find out which push up is you for 2 sets of 10 and work from there. .
Remember: elbows 45 degrees from your sides (not tucked and not flared out to 90 degree  like a T) .

. This vid was from mid weeks push workout and it was the 3rd exercise of the session.

. 42kg x9 now I could have probably grinded out a 10th rep but it would have been a disgusting rep and I would have probably done more damage than good as I would have probably twisted to get the rep up or had to use the spotter and that ain't what I wanted so. .

. I played it smart and hit 9 and ended it. It's still a good set as I only fell short by 1 and I guarantee I will get 10 next week. .

. Make sure your lifting smart and not stupid guys and enjoy the rest of your weekend. .

Yesterday's Workout was unorthodox for sure. Rear & Side Delts, Traps, Abs and Cardio.

Physique update time! Just started a minicut to get back down closer to contest weight. Coach wants me to drop 10-15lbs and maintain a weight of 124-125lbs. Started at 135ishlbs and I'm already down about 2lbs in a bit over a week 😊. The goal would be to step on stage around 110lbs so I can be super competitive next time around. I'm coming for that pro card next time, no doubt about it. 
This cut will be a bit different since I can't really do cardio like normal due to my leg, and we can't be as aggressive since my body is still healing from the surgery.  I'm going to work with what I've got. No excuses, I'm going to look amazing in a few months from now 😉. Physique update time! Just started a minicut to get back down closer to contest weight. Coach wants me to drop 10-15lbs and maintain a weight of 124-125lbs. Started at 135ishlbs and I'm already down about 2lbs in a bit over a week 😊. The goal would be to step on stage around 110lbs so I can be super competitive next time around. I'm coming for that pro card next time, no doubt about it. This cut will be a bit different since I can't really do cardio like normal due to my leg, and we can't be as aggressive since my body is still healing from the surgery. I'm going to work with what I've got. No excuses, I'm going to look amazing in a few months from now 😉. A little rear delt action here, throughout the years I’ve been trying to focus more on other more noticeable muscles and have neglected rear delts, luckily now I’m able to focus more on weaknesses and find the perfect balance in the process.

Reasons to do standing overhead presses.  It shows you how weak your core stabilizers are and how important they are in your daily lives.  Instead of doing seated shoulder presses with the barbell or dumbbells, try standing.  Single dumbbell pushes for more of a challenge.  It will make you activate your core to balance yourself.  If you cant, lower the weight and increase the reps.  Additionally, do not use momentum or a belt.  The belt is used to help increase the core strength but usually it becomes a crutch for your abdominals which then dont become stronger.  Only use a belt when your in that 90-100% 1 rep max range.

FINALLY sought orthopaedic intervention yesterday for my shoulder. Verdict: scapular dyskenesis and possible arthritis.  Solution: meds and physical therapy. ✔
Great news cuz I thought I'd have to quit the sport, which was a little devastating. Forward - time to work on strengthening my shoulders, engaging the entire posterior and jerk technique. 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

It’s a chest and triceps killa workout that had my boobs hurting for days 😭 .
GALDEMS it’s important to train your boobies too (p.s will make them perkier 😉) .
Workout: 
1️⃣ Active warm up (stretch out da boobies)
- 30 seconds on each stretch
2️⃣ Bench press (compound exercise) - 4 sets 8-10 reps
3️⃣ Dumbbell chest press - 3 sets 10 reps
4️⃣ Cable flys - 3 sets 10-12 reps 
5️⃣ Incline machine chest press - 3 sets 8-10 reps 
6️⃣ Dumbbell overhead tricep press
- 4 sets 10-12 reps 
7️⃣ Tricep push down
