Challenge | The goal of doing variations of your lifts is to challenge yourself, finding a way to make the exercise more difficult while attacking your specific weak points. I have been putting in a lot of work to get my squat up the past year and a half and performing variations such as paused squat, tempo squat, pin squat (shown in video) and belt squat are certainly part of that. The pin squat is designed to help me create power out of the hole, while having to stay tight throughout the whole movement and ultimately should help me avoid squat-morning the weight up. I feel that this exercise (just like paused squats) is particularly great at that. A small positioning mistake can make the exercise a hundred times harder. 117kg single the other day - RPE 0, grabbed the bar slightly off centre as I was using a power bar instead of an Olympic one and couldn't get my lats in as much as I would've liked. I have been seriously struggling with the way I speak to myself lately … I have been really shitty to myself, knowing I can be and do more. Breaking myself down then I saw this… 
I don’t want another woman’s body… I want my own, healthier, leaner, stronger… 
I love my body, I have scars from childhood memories, scars from childbirth, scars from back surgeries … MY Body has been through everything with me. Basic training, long nights dancing, heartbreak… I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I love my body, that’s why it deserves the best and that’s what it gets, my absolute best everyday single day.

Okkkk I had a good go today. I still need to be more aggressive on the run up but I think we are a week away from dunking. I know it’s not right to put a time goal on it but I did give myself 6 months and this is the second to last session in month 5 I really do want to get it in 6 months I feel it will be a weight off my shoulders and I’ll be able to progress better after the first dunk goes down before the 6 months is up. I really have gone from weak 9.5 ft dunks to almost dunking on a 10ft. I am 5ft 9 and my reach is 7ft4-5  my standing vertical jump is around 30 inches and with a run up I’m thinking is 35-36 at the moment. When I get my technique down, a perfect jump and give myself a perfect pass it will be a good day 💯💪🏼. Ps. I actually think I run in to early which makes me come in slower than I want too. Timing the jump is very important I fully believe I can jump high enough
